Abstract
Raman scattering results on low-lying external modes in LiKS across the phase transition ( K) are presented. Based on these data and the lattice-dynamical calculations of Chaplot, Rao, and Roy it is shown that reorientation of S ions at the phase transition is likely to take place about an axis normal to the axis.
