Abstract
We report a prospective study of 57 one-stage cemented revisions of total hip replacement for deep infection with an actively discharging sinus. The average follow-up was 7 years 4 months. Seven patients had required rerevisions, but at latest follow-up, infection was under control in 49 (86%). A discharging sinus is not, in itself, a contraindication to one-stage revision of a hip replacement. Keywords
