Serrulatane Diterpenes with Antimycobacterial Activity Isolated from the West Indian Sea Whip Pseudopterogorgia elisabethae

Abstract
Two new antimycobacterial serrulatane diterpenes, erogorgiaene (3) and 7-hydroxyerogorgiaene (4), and a novel C40 bisditerpene (5), have been isolated from the West Indian gorgonian octocoral Pseudopterogorgia elisabethae. The structures of compounds 3−5 were determined by spectral (1D and 2D NMR, IR, UV, and HREIMS) analysis.
