Abstract
This Letter reports on numerical simulations showing exact, flat soliton solutions to a physical equation (that of Zakharov and Kuznetsov) breaking up into spherical solitons. Depending on the size of the box in which calculations are performed, the breakup can be either direct or via an intermediate, cylindrical soliton stage. Keywords
