Abstract
A high-resolution NMR study of 5,5′-bisisoxazole in different liquid crystals and at various temperatures is reported. An interpretation of all data, based on a simple model for conformational equilibrium in solution, is given. Very good agreement with a CNDO calculation of the potential energy for the internal rotation of the two rings is found. Keywords
