Abstract
Mycotoxins are toxic fungal secondary metabolites that cause diseases—called mycotoxicoses—in humans and animals. Of the numerous toxic metabolites, the best known belong to the family of aflatoxins. This paper describes mycotoxins and mycotoxicoses and discusses how they affect our food and feed supply and human and animal health. Keywords
