Abstract
This case of hypernephroma of the ovary is reported because of its unusual interest to both the clinician and the pathologist. REPORT OF CASE History. —T. B., a girl, aged 3½, admitted to the hospital, May 6, 1922, for six weeks had been less active than formerly, had tired easily, and had lost her appetite. During this period there had been a gradual increase in the size of the abdomen. She had been fretful the two days preceding admission, and there had been a slight rise of temperature which was due, as later developments showed, to the early symptoms of measles. She was a well developed, normal child at birth. She had always been considered precocious. She appeared and acted like an older child. For the last year there had been abnormal development of the vulva with a slight growth of pubic hair, and recently she had begun to masturbate.
