Abstract
The present study assessed the test-retest scores of a Dutch version of the State-Trait Anxiety Inventory before and after surgery. The State and Trait-Anxiety scales of a Dutch version were administered to 159 surgical patients on the day before the operation and again three days later. After surgery, a significant decrease was found in State Anxiety and anxiety assessed by the two subscales within this scale, i.e., State Anxiety present and State Anxiety absent. Trait anxiety decreased only slightly. This publication has 6 references indexed in Scilit:
