Abstract
Extracts of porphyrin-containing molluscan shells were examined by adsorption and paper-partition chromatography. The presence of uroporphyrin and, in 1 sp., of coproporphyrin was shown. No evidence was found for the existence in these shells of the pentacarboxylic porphyrin descr. by Fischer and Jordan under the name of "conchoporphyrin".This publication has 3 references indexed in Scilit:
