Abstract
A new restoration has been made of this Scottish anaspid. This restoration differs from Traquair''s original restoration in the structure of the head region, the cranial roof, the anal fin, and the caudal fin, and by the addition of the pectoral and post-branchial plates. Close correspondence in structure exists between Birkenia and the Norwegian anaspids described by Kiaer.
