Abstract
Summary In Texas 286 of 859 (33.3 per cent) specimens of the genus Triatoma were found naturally infected with Trypanosoma cruzi. The species of Triatoma which were examined included: T. gerstaeckeri, T. lecticularius, T. protracta, T. Sanguisuga, T. neotomae and T. rubida. One or more individuals of each of these 6 species were found to be carriers of the trypanosome.Keywords
