Abstract
It is argued that, after a century of distinguished service, the zoogeographical term ‘Ethiopian Region’ has outlived its usefulness, and that is should be superseded by the term ‘Afrotropical Region’. Modern objections to the term Ethiopian Region are explained, arguments for preferring Afrotropical Region to various alternative terms are briefly deployed, and use of the new term for zoogeographical purposes is strongly urged. This publication has 2 references indexed in Scilit:
