Abstract
Expectation values of the specific heat and of Wilson loops are presented for compact U(1) gauge theory on , , and lattices, calculated by averages over up to 7500 iterations through the lattice generated by Monte Carlo methods. The calculations show clear evidence for a single second-order phase transition.
