13C N.M.R. spectral studies of some naturally occurring quinones and related compounds

Abstract
The 13C N.M.R. spectra of quinones (1)-(14) have been recorded and fully interpreted. Analysis of the fully 1H-coupled spectra has enabled the assignment of substituents in the benzene ring and has allowed the relative orientation of the benzene and quinone rings to be established.
