Abstract
A new type cell utilizing spontaneous chemical doping and simultaneous electrochemical undoping in conducting polymers is studied. Open circuit voltage of 0.86 V and continuous short circuit current of ca. 2 mA are obtained in a cell consisting of polythiophene film (1.8 cm2×20 µm, 5 mg) as an electrocatalytic cathode against lead anode in sulfuric acid. Keywords
