Abstract
Heavy quark effective theory is applied to semileptonic decays of B mesons into charmed higher resonances DX, where subscript X denotes various spin-parity states of resonances. We calculate the differential decay rates and branching ratios of the decay B →DXlνl. We find that the largest fraction of the semileptonic process B →DXlνl other than D(1869) and D*(2010) is D2*(1P state) whose value is 0.11Keywords
