Semileptonic Decays of B Meson into Charmed Higher Resonances in the Heavy Quark Effective Theory

Abstract
Heavy quark effective theory is applied to semileptonic decays of B mesons into charmed higher resonances DX, where subscript X denotes various spin-parity states of resonances. We calculate the differential decay rates and branching ratios of the decay BDXlνl. We find that the largest fraction of the semileptonic process BDXlνl other than D(1869) and D*(2010) is D2*(1P state) whose value is 0.11
