Abstract
Serial electrocardiographic tracings were performed in a patient with accidental hypothermia and the changes appeared to be directly related to the body temperature. The electrocardiogram may give a better indication of the central body temperature than axillary or rectal temperatures. A tentative theory is proposed in an attempt to account for the cardio-graphic pattern in hypothermia. Keywords
