Abstract
It is pointed out that a negative slope for the form factor in pseudoscalar Dalitz decays can be explained by vector-meson dominance with a subtracted dispersion relation. Calculations are made for the pi 0 and eta using the experimental omega to pi 0 gamma , phi to pi 0 gamma and phi to eta gamma decay rates and SU(3) symmetry. An incidental consequence of these calculations is that excitable colour gluons do not significantly affect eta Dalitz decay. Keywords
