Abstract
Conjoined TwinsFused twins have spurred the curiosity of investigators from time immemorial and they have been observed in almost all taxa, including plants. Recent reports concern such twins and partial duplication in birds, fish and reptiles, and, among mammals, most common species are represented. In man their incidence is estimated to be 1 in 33,000 to 165,000 births, and most commonly reported are thoracopagi (70 per cent).
