Abstract
This paper examines data on the facilities, organization, and budget of a sample of 755 senior centers from 31 states. The large majority of these centers report being located in one-story facilities that do not seriously limit their operation. The majority of centers make no direct payment for their facilities, and are subunits of larger, multi-site organizations. Some regional variations on these characteristics are uncovered, but size of place differentials are stronger and more consistent with centers in rural areas reporting smaller facilities and budgets.
