Abstract
This paper examines data on the facilities, organization, and budget of a sample of 755 senior centers from 31 states. The large majority of these centers report being located in one-story facilities that do not seriously limit their operation. The majority of centers make no direct payment for their facilities, and are subunits of larger, multi-site organizations. Some regional variations on these characteristics are uncovered, but size of place differentials are stronger and more consistent with centers in rural areas reporting smaller facilities and budgets. Keywords
