ORAL ADMINISTRATION OF DIETHYL STILBESTROL DIPROPIONATE1

Abstract
A series of 92 patients with indications for estrogenic therapy (i.e., artificial and physiological menopausal syndromes, hypoestrinism, senile vaginitis) were treated with diethyl stilbestrol dipropionate, a potent synthetic estrogen which can be efficiently administered orally with less toxic manifestations than stilbestrol. The results obtained are discussed. 15% of these patients had toxic manifestations of nausea and/or vomiting, however, only 1 patient was completely intolerant to the drug.
