Abstract
This case report deals with an intersex individual, age 21 brought up as a [female] who failed to develop the normal secondary sex characteristics of one sex at puberty, but whose psychological make up was definitely of a masculine pattern. The true sex of this individual was detd. by means of psychological analysis, hormonal studies, and an exploratory laparotomy. The result of these investigations proved the individual to be predominately masculine in his physical and psychological make up. Intensive [male] hormone therapy enhanced these dominant tendencies and resulted in social and psychological adjustment of the individual. A change in attire and legal status from [female] to [male] was a logical sequence to this therapy. Keywords
