Abstract
In this short article we describe the use of a cotton tape tie in laparoscopic colorectal surgery. This technique is useful in: (i) retraction and manipulation of the bowel; (ii) exteriorization of a bulky specimen; and (iii) occlusion of the rectal lumen to permit effective cytocidal rectal lavage. Keywords
