Abstract
12 variables were tested. Ulcer patients were compared with nongastrointestinal and nonpsychosomatic patients. Ulcer patients adopt behavioral patterns of frustration-avoidance in relation to dependency needs. Dependency needs are defended against. Ulcer patients were persistent in following a socially sanctioned set of values. (24 ref.) (PsycINFO Database Record (c) 2006 APA, all rights reserved)Keywords
