Abstract
The personal construct theory approach to death and loss is presented in this article, with its focus on the many parallel processes of mourning in contrast with a predetermined series of stages. A description of the general theory is first provided, and then the theory of psychotherapy based on it is discussed. Finally, this approach is applied to death and loss, and some details of the mourning of a couple, before and after the husband dies, help to illustrate it.Keywords
