Domain structure realignment and Barkhausen effect in NaH 3 (SeO 3 ) 2 single crystals

Abstract
This paper reports on simultaneous domain structure observations and Barkhausen effect measurements in ferroelectric and ferroelastic NaH3(SeO3)2. It is found that two different types of Barkhausen jumps are discernable originating from realignments in ferroelectric and ferroelastic domain structures respectively. With this aid some new details of domain structure behaviour are decribed. The investigation indicates significant advantages of Barkhausen effect techniques in domain structure studies of ferroelectric and ferroelastic crystals.
