Abstract
Measurements are reported of positive ions sampled through the anode and the cathode of a dc discharge in argon containing small concentrations of cesium. Data were obtained for argon pressures up to 3 Torr and cesium pressures as high as 4×10−3 Torr. Ions observed through the cathode were Ar+, Ar++, Ar2+, and Cs+, through the anode Ar+, Ar2+, and Cs+ were measured. Comparison is made of anode and cathode sampling measurements. This publication has 15 references indexed in Scilit:
