Abstract
To improve the tensile strength and ductility of gypsum, sheets were fabricated by spraying gypsum slurry with chopped glass fibers. The influence of the volume of fibers, length of fibers, the density of the matrix, and the type of matrix on flexural properties and impact strength were studied. Fire tests were also conducted on glass reinforced gypsum sheets. Reinforcing mechanism of glass fibers was examined by optical and scanning electron microscopy. Keywords
