Abstract
The use of mixed solvents, toluene and acetonitrile in a ratio of 2 : 1, in the iodine (or tri-iodoimidazole)–imidazole–triphenylphosphine halogenation system allows certain transformations of hydroxy-groups into deoxyiodo-groups which were difficult to achieve in the original system using toluene alone.Keywords
