Persistence of attitude change as a function of conclusion reexposure: A laboratory-field experiment.

Abstract
An experiment was conducted which demonstrated that conclusion reexposure facilitates the persistence of attitude change. After initial exposure to a communication in a laboratory setting, Ss were sent postcards reminding them of the time and place for a 2nd laboratory session. For approximately 1/2 of the Ss the postcards also mentioned the communication topic. Over the most extreme time intervals Ss in this reinstatement condition showed significantly greater persistence effects. (PsycINFO Database Record (c) 2016 APA, all rights reserved)
