Abstract
A method is proposed to determine the strainfree interfaces between a paraelastic prototype phase and its ferroelastic derivatives. The predictions of the theory are tested by means of electron microscope observations on a number of examples. Reasonable agreement is found between the predictions and the observationsKeywords
