By synthesising and structurally characterising new soluble titanosilsesquioxanes, and by following the dynamics of epoxidation of cyclohexene in their presence, the tripodally anchored TiIV active sites in Ti–SiO2 heterogeneous catalysts are modelled structurally and catalytically. Keywords
