Abstract
The variables associated with the alleviation of dental anxiety were studied by administering the State-Trait Anxiety Inventory to 94 patients to measure variations in anxiety. Five variables were highly correlated with the anxiety-reduction score: favorable experience with dentists, reassuring gestures, socio-economic status, harm-avoidance and intelligence. This publication has 2 references indexed in Scilit:
