Abstract
Dermatofibroma or cutaneous fibrous histiocytoma is a common cutaneous tumor. Rare histologic variants have been described. We report another variant of dermatofibroma characterized by osteoclast-like giant cells with metaplastic bone formation. Clinically the lesion was a small, brown, hard papule of several months' duration on the left anterior leg of a 58-year-old woman. Keywords
