Abstract
A detailed analysis of the dynamics of the one-dimensional classical easy-plane Heisenberg model is presented, valid at low temperatures. Particular attention is given to the structure of both the in-plane and out-of-plane spectral function. The width of the in-plane spin-wave resonance is shown to be linear in temperature, whereas the width of the out-of-plane one is quadratic. Some striking differences from the isotropic case are found also for the in-plane motion. The present results deviate in several important respects from earlier approximate theories. Keywords
