Abstract
Wind-transported seeds of Epilobium angustifolium L. were collected with suction traps mounted on a television tower in central Sweden. Average density-height profiles of seeds, up to 93 m aboveground, are presented for four 10-day periods. These data suggest that a large fraction (about 20 to 50%) of dispersing E. angustifolium seeds are more than 100 m above-ground. Many of these seeds are likely to be transported hundreds of kilometres by wind. This publication has 1 reference indexed in Scilit:
