Abstract
53 cholera vibrio strains from India, French Indo-China and Egypt were examined. The growth curves were the steepest when simple peptone was used in the culture media. The preserving and enrichment fluid of Gohar, alkaline Selenite F broth, and the medium of Venkatraman and Ramakrishnan were found most useful. The plating media of Aronson, Panja and Ghosh, and plain alkaline agar gave excellent results under exptl. conditions. Keywords
