Abstract
Induced ac losses and magnetization curves measured at 42 K, are reported for a reversible supersaturated solid solution of Pb-11% Sn, and for the same material after the precipitation of pinning centres. The results show lower hysteretic losses in the precipitated material for peak applied fields up to Hfp, as defined by slow-swept magnetization measurements, but more significantly the losses up to this field are lower than in pure lead. Keywords
