The oscillation modes of 1 Monocerotis

Abstract
Simultaneous photoelectric radial velocities and BVRJ photometry are presented for the δ Scuti star 1 Mon. From these and other published data we estimate the spherical harmonic orders of the three principal oscillations. The trongest oscillation is found to be an overtone radial pulsation while the two other oscillations are most probably dipole modes split by stellar rotation. We estimate the radius of 1 Mon to be 2.2 solar units by application of a modified Wesselink technique to the radial mode.
