Thymidine as One of the Factors in a Beef Liver Extract Decreasing 3H-thymidine Incorporation into DNA

Abstract
Gel filtration (Sephadex G-15) of a beef liver extract has revealed two peaks having inhibitory action on 3H-thymidine incorporation into the DNA of regenerating rat liver slices. Peak I seemed to contain a factor specific for hepatic tissues, which might be the liver chalone, whereas the activity of peak II was due to the presence of thymidine.
