Abstract
2. National number of neurologists. There is no consensus about the specific number of neurologists currently needed in the United States. The Council on Graduate Medical Education (COGME) has concluded that there is an oversupply of most medical specialists, including neurologists. However, many academic positions in neurology are not filled, and many jobs for practicing neurologists are advertised in professional journals. Keywords
