Abstract
Uptake of S35 by rat cartilage in vitro in a low sulphate medium is significantly increased by the cartilage and bone extract "Rumalon". Differences in activation depending on age, sex and type and activity of the cartilage appear to exist. Isolation of the cartilage chondroitin sulphate demonstrates that "Rumalon" activates the chondroitin sulphate metabolism.
