Abstract
Precipitation chemistry data from two networks, one with nine sites and the other with eight, are shown to provide comparable data, that is, they were drawn from the same population. These data may thus be combined into a 17-site network. This combination of data provides a comprehensive description of the contemporary patterns of acid precipitation in the northeastern United States. Keywords
