Abstract
Several purine and pyrimidine derivatives (guanylic acid, cytosine, xanthosine, guanosine, and thymine) reverse the growth inhibition of Aerobacter aerogenes caused by streptomycin under specified conditions but have no effect on inhibition by dihydrostreptomycin. L-phenylalanine reversed the inhibition caused by dihydrostreptomycin and not that caused by streptomycin. Keywords
