Abstract
✓ A large extension of the subarachnoid space into the sellar cavity due to hypoplasia of the sellar diaphragm may manifest itself clinically and radiologically as a syndrome simulating a hypophyseal adenoma or as cerebrospinal fluid rhinorrhea. Gas or positive contrast encephalography aids in the diagnosis. Six cases are presented and discussed.
