Abstract
Polymethyliodobenzenes react with sodium trifluoroacetate, in tine presence of copper(I) iodide, in hexamethylphosphoric triamide at 150–180°C, giving a mixture of the corresponding polymethylbenzotrifluoride, parent hydrocarbon, and bis(polymethylphenyl) ether.Keywords
