Abstract
15 turnover studies in 8 pregnant rhesus monkeys using iodine‐labelled fibrinogen showed that fractional catabolic rates of this protein were similar to those in control females, whereas the absolute catabolic rates were significantly elevated. Intermediate, non‐clottable labelled breakdown products of fibrinogen were present in the circulation of these monkeys. The implication of these findings are briefly discussed. Keywords
