Abstract
With a specific and sensitive electrophoretic-fluorometric method, thiamin was found in the cerebro-spinal fluid of different mammals both in free and phosphorylated form, monophosphate being the only thiamin phosphoric ester. In humans, its amount was about 60% of total thiamin. Alcoholism greatly lowered total thiamin content, affecting both thiamin forms. Keywords
