Polarization of Protons from Deuteron Stripping in Carbon

Abstract
The polarization of protons from the stripping of 4-Mev deuterons in carbon at 30° has been measured by scattering in helium. The value of is larger than, but the sign is in agreement with, predictions based on a simple stripping-plus-potential scattering picture.
