Paramesonephric (müllerian) sinus of urinary bladder

Abstract
An unusual sinus, lined by tubular glandular elements with ciliated and nonciliated epithelium that traversed the posterolateral wall of the urinary bladder and involved the broad ligament, is described. These features, plus the absence of a basement membrane and peripheral smooth muscle suggest paramesonephric (Muellerian) rather than mesonephric (Wolffian) duct origin.
